IBPSA International Conference 2019
What: Won first place in a competition for the International Building Performance Simulation Association. Working in a team of five to develop recommendations to optimize a heritage building located in Rome, Italy.

Heritage Conservation Workflow
What: Developed a site specific conservation workflow for a site in Rockcliffe Park, Ottawa. Documented the site, developed statement of significance

How: Creating models in Revit, Context Capture and Hot 2000 to make recommendations for heritage appropriate energy retrofit measures.
Mexico Site Documentation
What: Collected photogrametric site data and measurements of Félix Candela's Pabellón de Rayos Cósmicos in Mexico City to assist in the development of a Revit model produced by the CIMS lab.
When: May 2019
How: Working in a team of five to collect images, and measurements. Context Capture, Photo-scan and Photoshop were all used to develop content.
APT Miami 2019
What: Developed and presented a holistic methodology for examining daylight quality and building energy for the Association for Preservation Technology International for the Miami 2019 Conference.
When: November 2019
How: Supported by the NSERC CREATE Heritage Engineering program and as a APT Student Scholar. Used tools like Honeybee and Ladybug to examine a combination of energy and daylight metrics. Results were represented in an experimental parallel coordinate plot.
Fourth Year Capstone Project
What: Working closely in a group of six to develop designs for a 10 storey hybrid timber mixed use building that embodied sustainable practices, fire safety, heritage considerations and architectural design. Working towards LEED certification, aspects like green roofs, waste management and preliminary energy modeling were taken into consideration through an integrated project workflow.
When: September 2017 to April 2018
How: Primary contributions to the project include the design of grey-water treatment systems, centralized HVAC systems for residential units and a high performance building envelope. The building was designed, detailed and rendered entirely in Revit, to communicate technical and architectural concepts.
